First Wave International Certification Pvt. Ltd. (FICPL) is committed to conducting all certification activities with the highest degree of impartiality, independence, integrity, and objectivity. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all certification decisions are based solely on objective evidence of conformity and are free from commercial, financial, or other influences that may compromise impartiality.
FICPL recognizes that impartiality is fundamental to the credibility and trustworthiness of certification. We are committed to identifying, analyzing, evaluating, monitoring, and mitigating any threats to impartiality arising from our certification activities, relationships, personnel, or external influences.
FICPL operates independently and ensures that certification decisions are made solely based on compliance with applicable standards and certification requirements. Certification decisions are reviewed and approved by competent personnel who are independent of the audit process to maintain objectivity and fairness.
FICPL identifies and manages potential conflicts of interest associated with its certification activities. All personnel, including auditors, technical experts, committee members, and decision-makers, are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest before participating in certification activities.
Where a conflict of interest is identified, appropriate measures shall be implemented, including reassignment of personnel or exclusion from related activities.
To preserve the integrity of the certification process, FICPL does not provide management system consultancy services to certification clients. FICPL shall not certify organizations where relationships or activities create an unacceptable threat to impartiality.
FICPL maintains an Impartiality Committee comprising representatives of interested parties to oversee and safeguard impartiality across certification activities. The committee periodically reviews risks to impartiality and provides recommendations to ensure continued compliance with applicable accreditation and certification requirements.

FICPL maintains transparent certification processes and makes relevant information regarding certification activities, policies, procedures, and complaint mechanisms available to clients and interested parties.
Information obtained during certification activities shall be treated as confidential and protected in accordance with legal, contractual, and accreditation requirements. Disclosure shall occur only with client authorization or where required by law.
FICPL continually monitors its activities, relationships, and certification processes to identify and address risks to impartiality. Regular internal audits, management reviews, and impartiality committee reviews are conducted to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
FICPL complies with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1, applicable accreditation requirements, and all relevant regulatory obligations. Any identified threat to impartiality shall be addressed promptly to maintain confidence in the certification process.
This policy shall be reviewed periodically to ensure its continued suitability, effectiveness, and alignment with accreditation requirements and organizational objectives.
